RICK BARRY LAUNCHES NEW PODCAST NETWORK
Warriors 24 Podcast Network features The Rick Barry Show and Warriors 24/7
SAN FRANCISCO — NBA Hall of Famer Rick Barry has launched a new podcast network featuring two shows providing in-depth analysis and coverage of the Golden State Warriors and NBA.
The Warriors 24 Podcast Network, named after the Warriors legend whose number 24 jersey hangs in the rafters of Chase Center, hosts The Rick Barry Show and Warriors 24/7.
“I am excited to have The Rick Barry Show and Warriors 24/7 on the Warriors 24 Podcast Network,” Barry said. “Join my co-host Cyrus Saatsaz and me for commentary that is ‘Nothing but the truth!’”
Joining Barry is Cyrus Saatsaz, an award winning journalist born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area who grew up loving the Warriors since the days of Sleepy Floyd and Chris Mullin in the 1980’s. Saatsaz has covered the Warriors for over 20 years, for organizations including the San Francisco Chronicle, The Huffington Post, Sports Illustrated, KNBR, Men’s Journal, ESPN and KCBS.
“I’ve known Rick since I was his Executive Producer at KNBR in the early 2000’s, and we’ve always maintained a friendship that’s now evolved into this incredibly exciting podcast venture,” Saatsaz said. “Rick is one of the brightest minds in basketball, and I truly love his big heart and passion for seeking greatness. We’re offering Dub Nation the insights, entertainment and knowledge that no other Warriors podcast could ever possibly provide, and I’m thrilled to host these shows with one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game.”
Barry was the last player to lead the Golden State Warriors to a World Championship prior to the Stephen Curry era, winning the 1975 NBA Finals MVP award. More recently, Barry has been a head coach in the Big3, in addition to mentoring his son Canyon, who plays in the NBA G League.
